Purpose

Have you ever felt like you're slogging through the day, wondering what on earth your purpose is?

I have.

I hear God gently bidding me to pay attention to the mundane moments.  The moments when it seems like folding laundry is my forever lot in life.

He is opening my eyes to see the innocence and sweet naivete of my girls and to enjoy it instead of becoming frustrated. To listen, truly listen, to them and enjoy them for who He has created them to be.

He is calling me to give up my selfishness and give of myself to my family without reserve or repayment. Even when my tank feels empty.

He is showing me how to enjoy my husband instead of trying to change him.

He is wooing me to snuggle close to Him and know His kindness and character.  To proclaim His goodness in the times of blessing as well as in the struggle.

My Abba is calling me to choose joy instead of frustration.  To choose to smile instead of yell.

I fail.  Oh, how I fail.

But sometimes, God helping me, I succeed.

God is teaching me more about Himself everyday.  Sometimes I listen, and sometimes I'm a brat.  I'm so thankful that He never gives up on us!

This is my journey.  Failures and victories.

May God use this blog to encourage and bless those who stop by.  It is written for His glory and for the encouragement of His people.  It is my hope that all who read it will see His hand in what is written here.

Blessings friend!  I hope you find my little corner of the Internet enjoyable!
